Worship Leader Position

Personal Qualifications & Expectations:

1. Must display a vital personal faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

2. Must have energy and passion for The Well’s mission, vision, and values, helping us to “Restore Hope” and reach people for Jesus Christ in the Greater Byron Center Area.

3. Needs to be teachable, a servant leader, and a team player serving as an effective staff member.

4. Must demonstrate skills and experience in leading inspiring worship vocally and instrumentally (guitar and/or keyboard/piano).

5. Able to help build a team of instruments (guitars, keyboards, drums, etc.) and vocals, providing necessary lead sheets and tools for effective worship rehearsals.

6. Able to understand (or be equipped to understand) audio/visual technology and oversee and troubleshoot with the technology team.

7. Join the greater Well Movement to create a discipleship movement that empowers everyday people to disciple others to be like Jesus.

Abilities & Responsibilities:

1. Inspire people in authentic worship that keeps God at the center.

2. Meet with the Site Leader and/or worship planning team regularly to create meaningful worship services.

3. Work with team members to encourage, celebrate, and continue to develop their gifts.

4. Create/manage the system that coordinates when people serve vocally, instrumentally, and technically in each worship service.

5. Conduct worship rehearsals, preparing teams musically, spiritually, and emotionally to lead authentic worship. 

6. Assist with Upper Room prayer nights.

7. Help with ideas for creative backgrounds and staging of the worship center.

8. Ensure compliance with copyright laws, equipment needs, updating software, etc.
